The staff would like to welcome you to Discover English. Our friendly team is here to help and support you while you study and experience Australian life and culture.
Discover English is located in the centre of the Melbourne CBD. It is within easy walking distance to Melbourne Central and Flinders Street train stations. Three trams pass directly in front of the school in Bourke Street, while four trams pass on nearby Elizabeth Street. There is also a wide variety of boutiques, department stores, cafes and restaurants right outside our door.
To help you be better prepared for your trip, we have compiled the following information which will help you adapt more quickly to a new country, climate, college, customs and lifestyle.

The People & the Vision
Discover English was formed in Melbourne in February 2010 with the objective of being Australia‟s premier English language college.
The founding members of Discover English have a long and distinguished history in Education, and over 40 years‟ experience in the teaching of English as a second language.
Through our broad spanning experience within the international education industry in teaching, marketing administration and management, the team possess unique skills to build a successful college. The staff at Discover English have worked with many universities, colleges and education agents, utilizing the resources of these associates. We demonstrate competency in all aspects of successful college management. We are passionately committed to the new business and have the realism to make inevitable challenging decisions.
Description
Discover English plans to provide a variety of English language courses and services to international students to assist in their career development and further education in English speaking countries. We intend to evaluate the success of each stage and follow up to make changes to focus on continuous improvement of courses and services provided by Discover English.

APPLICATION STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS MODEL
STEP 1: Student completes Application (via agent, exhibition, email, phone, fax or online) and submits along with all necessary documentation including: Certified Copy of Passport, Certified IELTS Score / Proof of English Language Proficiency (if applicable), Copy of Visa (if applicable), Relevant Employment Details (if applicable).
STEP 2: Discover English administration issues a Letter of Offer, Invoices, Enrolment Terms and Conditions and Acceptance Agreement
STEP 3: Student signs and returns Acceptance Agreement
STEP 4: Student pays fees
STEP 5: Discover English administration issues electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) and arranges health insurance (OSHC) for student visa holders
STEP 6: Student completes visa application through Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC)
STEP 7: Student makes travel and accommodation arrangements (Discover English can assist with accommodation arrangements)
STEP 8: Student arrives in Australia
STEP 9: First day at school: student registration, placement testing and orientation
STEP 10: Classes begin!
